Returns

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a product you purchased from us, you may return it for a full refund or exchange within 90 days of receiving your order.

If your return meets the above criteria, please initiate a return by visiting your Account page and selecting “Return Items” or by contacting our friendly customer service team. You will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) with details on how to send back your item.

Once we receive your return at our distribution center and inspect the condition, we will process your refund or exchange. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Please note, you are responsible for return shipping costs unless your return is a result of our error (i.e. you received a defective, damaged or incorrect item).

Refunds

If approved, refunds will be issued via your original payment method within 7 business days of our receiving team inspecting and processing your return at our distribution center. Here is more information on what you can expect for specific payment types:

Credit Card Purchases: Refunds will be issued back to your credit card. Please note it may take an additional 2-10 business days after we process the refund for the credit to be posted back to your account, depending on your bank’s policies.

PayPal Purchases: Refunds will be issued back to your PayPal account within 7 business days of us processing.

Gift Card or Oriental Trading Credit Purchases: Refunds will be issued to your Oriental Trading account credit, which can be used for future purchases.

Check or Money Order: Refunds for these payment types will be issued via check within 21 business days.

Please note, any shipping costs you paid are non-refundable unless due to our error. Applicable taxes charged on the total amount, including shipping, will also be refunded.

If you used a coupon or promo code when you placed your order, the amount discounted will be deducted from your refund amount.

Exchanges

If you would prefer to exchange your purchase for another item instead of a refund, we’re happy to accommodate as long as the new item is of equal or greater value. There is no cost or extended return period for exchanges.

To exchange an item, please return the original item following the instructions above for refundable returns. In the Return Portal indicate that you are seeking an exchange.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will provide instructions via email to reorder a replacement item at no additional cost to you (excluding any shipping charges). If the replacement item you select costs more than your original purchase, you will be responsible for paying the price difference.

Exchanges must be processed within 90 days from the original date you received your order. We can only offer one exchange per original item returned. After an exchange has been provided, any further returns for that item would be refunded not replaced.

While we aim to make returns and refunds as easy and convenient as possible, there are certain types of products that cannot be returned or have other restrictions, including:

Please check individual product pages for any other noted exclusions or restrictions before placing your order. We cannot accept returns or exchanges that do not meet the stated criteria.

Receiving Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Despite our thorough quality assurance checks, occasionally mistakes can happen, and you may receive a defective, damaged or incorrect item. If you notify us of any issues within 7 calendar days of receiving your order, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label via email to send back the unsatisfactory item(s).

Once we inspect your return and verify the damage, defects or errors did not occur after delivery, we will ship free replacement items to you. In the event an ordered item becomes unavailable, we will provide notification and offer similar substitute options or provide a full refund.

If the issues are identified after 7 days from receiving delivery, you may still initiate a return request but will be responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping costs.

We cannot provide refunds if merchandise is lost or undelivered after our confirmed shipment without additional proof of return to sender, such as a tracking scan or notice from the carrier. Claims would need to be filed directly with the shipping provider.

Shipping Costs

Because our standard shipping charges are for packing and handling costs as well as outbound transportation fees, these charges will not be refunded unless due to our error (damaged, defective or incorrectly fulfilled item).

You are welcome to select expedited shipping upgrades for either your original or replacement orders at additional cost not covered by Oriental Trading Company.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but hope you understand the reasons why return shipping costs cannot be waived except if due to an error on our part. Please reach out to a customer service agent with any questions or concerns.

How to Package Returns

Please package all returns properly to prevent any additional damage and clearly label with the RMA number issued. Returns missing RMA info may experience delays in processing.

Reuse original shipping boxes and packing materials if possible. For soft goods, carefully wrap back up in original plastic bags and protective wrapping. Use added cushioning materials if needed to avoid shifting and damage. Hard goods should be packaged securely in sturdy boxes with adequate padding between items and the box walls.

Tape boxes closed securely on all openings and seams. Remove or fully cover up old mailing labels and be sure to attach the new return shipping label to the outside of package if provided in your return confirmation email.

In accordance with shipping regulations, make sure no previous hazardous materials labels are visible. We cannot accept or process returns packaged improperly if contents appear used, damaged or compromised during transit back to our facility.

Returning Multiple Orders

If you have more than one return to process at a time, you are welcome to combine them into one return shipment to save costs. Each item must be individually packaged with its own RMA number clearly written on the outside.

On the outside of your shipment box, include a packing list detailing all the individual order and RMA numbers contained inside to facilitate faster return processing at our warehouse.
