Please note that Oriental Trading Company does not currently ship to PO boxes or military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO) outside the continental United States. Contact our Customer Service team for questions regarding any location restrictions.

International Shipping Costs

For accurate estimates, international customers should add items to cart and proceed to checkout to view the full pricing details including taxes, duties, and applicable shipping charges based on destination. Costs vary significantly but our international shipping fees start around $10.99. Overweight orders incur additional charges.

Expedited global delivery may be available at an extra cost by contacting our Customer Service team. Certain limitations and restrictions apply when shipping regulated, dangerous, or oversized goods internationally. Customers are liable for all import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.

Delivery speed listed at checkout for domestic orders is our best estimate based on the selected shipping method, origin/destination, and other factors. Actual transit time may vary.

Shipments to rural locations, military bases, PO boxes, or regions experiencing hazardous weather may take longer. Order processing time before shipment averages 1-2 business days but can occasionally take up to 5 business days during peak seasons.

International Delivery Times

Global delivery delays can occur during customs processing, based on foreign import regulations and inspection procedures. Rural delivery locations also typically lengthen overall shipment duration. We cannot guarantee delivery by a specified date for international orders due to high variability.

Order Processing & Shipment Handling

The following outlines what customers can expect once an order is placed on our website regarding fulfillment timelines and tracking information.

Order Processing

Most in-stock items ship within 1-2 business days from our fulfillment centers. However, extra processing time up to 5 business days may be required during sales events, holidays, inclement weather or peak seasons. If an item shows as out-of-stock or back-ordered, your order may be split into multiple shipments based on availability.

You will receive an order confirmation email with details after checkout is completed. We will send shipping confirmation and tracking as soon as your parcel begins transit with the carrier.

Order Changes, Modifications or Cancellations

To change, modify or cancel an order that is still being processed, please contact us immediately at 1-800-875-8480. Changes cannot be guaranteed once the shipping carrier has possession of your package.

Shipping Tracking

Tracking numbers for all major carriers are provided in your shipping confirmation email. Details can also be found in your account Order History. Track your packages in transit any time or contact us for the latest updates.

Failed Delivery Attempts

Occasionally due to limited access or incorrect address entry, the shipping carrier may be unable to complete delivery of an order which gets returned to sender. We will reach out regarding next steps for re-sending or issuing a refund. Additional redelivery fees may be incurred upon re-shipping returned packages.

Shipping Restrictions, Prohibitions and Special Cases

Certain goods have shipping restrictions or special handling requirements that customers should understand prior to purchase.

Age and Delivery Restrictions

Specific items like helium tanks require an adult signature upon delivery and cannot be left unattended or delivered to minors per DOT hazardous materials regulations.

Always consider age recommendations and small part hazards before purchasing toys or gifts for children. Any choking hazard warnings are detailed on product pages. We cannot guarantee appropriate delivery if age limitations are ignored.

Dangerous, Hazmat or Perishable Goods

For safety reasons Oriental Trading Company does not ship fog machines, flammable liquids, firearms, ammunition, lithium batteries, propane tanks, fireworks or other hazardous goods often regulated as ???dangerous goods??? or ???hazmat??? through commercial carriers.

We also do not sell or ship perishable food items. Any specialty inventory with specific shipping requirements will be called out at checkout. Certain restrictions and delivery prohibitions may apply when sending regulated merchandise.

Oversize, Overweight or Bulky Items

An oversize fee applies for extra-large or heavy items exceeding common carrier restrictions. Packages over 130 inches combined length plus girth or heavier than 150 lbs require special freight quotes. Bulky, irregularly shaped objects may also incur additional handling surcharges.

For oversized merchandise not available for online shipping quotes, please contact Customer Service for rates or consider in-store pickup where available. We reserve the right to cancel any orders containing oversize items deemed unshippable.

Damages, Defects, and Claims

We take great care in safely packing and shipping all items to arrive without damage. However, occasional accidents do occur in transit.

Inspect Deliveries Promptly

Carefully check orders immediately upon delivery before signing for acceptance. Photograph any visible external box damage or signs of mishandling by the carrier right away.

Concealed Loss or Damage Claims

If concealed loss or damage is found after opening, retain all packaging materials and damaged goods for carrier inspection. Then contact us as soon as possible and file a claim request within 5 days of receipt.

Our representatives will help investigate shipping issues and claims due to damage, provide return labels/authorization, arrange freight pickups or offer replacements. We’ll work as quickly as possible for a fair resolution.

In summary, we provide pre-paid return labels or reimburse standard shipping costs back to us on eligible returns. Refunds cannot be issued without actual merchandise returned, unless authorized specifically by Customer Service management after review.

Expedited return shipping charges remain the responsibility of the customer. All return guidelines and time limits outlined in our Online Return Policy must be observed to qualify for a refund, replacement or store credit.
